Merry Christmas!

Hello! I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!

It's 7am in the morning while I'm writing this. It's currently still pitch black outside and sadly, it's raining instead of snowing here in Sweden. The weather has been so different from what it used to be when I lived here. Even though my family doesn't live very far up north, everything used to be covered in snow around this time of the year. There's barely been any snow at all this year, just ice everywhere. How's the weather in your country?

If you live in Europe or America you already know that, in most countries and families, Christmas is a very important holiday where you're supposed to be with your family and the people you hold dear, to eat dinner together and exchange christmas presents. However, In Korea (and many other countries like, for example, Japan), Christmas isn't an important holiday where you spend time with your family, but it's rather a holiday for couples if anything. I was hyping Christmas with my boyfriend and his family before I went to Sweden, and his brother, who is single, was pretty down because he would be spending a 'Single Christmas' and said that he would go clubbing. He was just joking but there are actually a lot of people who do just that in South Korea.

Anyway, I'm going to take a long relaxing bath now while I'm waiting for the rest of my family to wake up so we can open a couple of presents and spend time together. Later tonight when everyone in my family has gathered we'll have christmas dinner, open all of the presents, watch movies, play games etc. That's how we do it in our family!

How do you celebrate/spend christmas in your family? Let me know in the comments, I'm really curious.
Thank you for reading and have a merry little christmas. Bye!
