DIY Studded & Ripped Shorts

Monday, March 30, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I just finished attaching some studs on my pink shorts and want to show you how it turned out. I've worked on these shorts for the longest time because I've taken everything really slow and step-by-step since I don't plan on using them until a special occasion later this year anyways.

These shorts used to be plain pink shorts with a few rips in them. I got them from Dreamv a really long time ago. I wanted to spice them up a bit by adding studs in some of the pockets and also add some more rips in them. I watched a tutorial on how to make rips in denim shorts/pants and it was surprisingly easy to do, even though I failed a few times. However, practice makes perfect! As for the studs, you can get them really cheap at eBay and when attaching them you pretty much just "pop" them on where you want them and then push down the little spikes on the back of the studs in the back to secure them. I additionally painted the buttons, which were originally gold, with silver nail polish to make them match the studs (I really wanted them to be silver!). I highly recommend to try it out yourself if you want to spice up a boring old pairs of shorts or jeans.  It takes some time but it's so fun and easy to do!

I'm pretty much done with customizing these shorts now; All I have left to do is fraying the edges a little bit more. I really like how they're turning out! What do you think?
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies!

KOKOkim School Idol Collection

Tuesday, March 24, 2015

Hello, lovelies! As you might know I love KOKOkim but I haven't checked them out for a while since I didn't know that they changed their website to kokokim.co.jp (previously kokokim.jp). They got lots of new things since I last checked and their school idol collection especially caught my attention.

School Idol ジャケット/Jacket in Lavender, Pink & Navy

School Idol スカート/Skirt in Lavender, Pink & Navy

School Idol Blouse/ブラウス in Off White, Pink & Black

To be honest, I wouldn't wear any of this myself even though I really like all of it. I used to love to wear things like these, but as time went by I've changed my style and I just don't feel comfortable wearing things like these anymore. It doesn't suit my personal style at all. However, like I said I still love cute outfits like these and if I knew anyone that wears this kind of style I would insist and make them wear it, haha~ What do you think? Would you add this to your wardrobe? Feel free to let me know in the comments.

Etude House Mini Haul and Testerkorea.com

Sunday, March 22, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I recently received an order I placed at Testerkorea.com a little while back. I got myself some eyeshadows and Makeup Brushes from Etude House. These are the things I got:

Look At My Eyes Cafe 402 & 406 and Look At My Eyes Jewel 408

My Beauty Tool Brush 121, 311, 110 & 312
I absolutely love every single one of these products and I will do a detailed review on each one of them in the nearest future, but for now I want to talk a little more about my first experience of shopping from Testerkorea.com

My experience with TesterKorea.com
I found out about TesterKorea through another blogger and checked them out. Their prices are very good, especially since they even give their members a 30% discount on a lot of products including a lot of other discounts. Not only do they have a huge variety of products, but I noticed that they also frequently add many of the latest products from various brands. Their shipping rates are very reasonable and the delivery is also quite fast. After only finding out positive things about them I decided to place an order.

After placing my order, I didn't get any sort of order confirmation which I thought was a little strange, but I still waited for a little longer just in case. After about a week, I sent them a mail asking about my order and they told me that my order must have been missed in the system. They responded very quickly and were kind enough offering me to send my order with EMS instead of the slower shipping option I had previously chosen. I really appreciate good customer service and I was very happy with their service since they even offered me a better shipping option. Testerkorea seems to be a very reliable company and I will definitely buy from their shop again.

Important Announcement - lovelipop & LVLUP

Saturday, March 21, 2015

Hello, lovelies. I have an important announcement to make. Due to several reasons, lovelipop has resigned from KEIOS ENTERTAINMENT and will be disbanded. We are all sad about this decision, but at the same time a great weight has been lifted from our shoulders.

I have been wanting to say many of the following things for a long time, and I want to share the past and current situation with you to put a proper end to this. But before you start reading this, I just want to remind you that there will always be two sides of a story, and I definitely don't want to put the blame on anyone. This is not some kind of ground-breaking sob story, but the things I'm about to tell you in this post are simply the thoughts and feelings I have had during my time in lovelipop under KEIOS ENTERTAINMENT, and the reasons why lovelipop came to an end, and why this only was for the best. Also, all of the girls in lovelipop have a mind of their own and their own personal opinions, but some of the things I will be talking about in this posts also are thoughts that we all shared.

First off, I have always dreamed of becoming an artist and I considered myself to be so lucky because I was working for someone in the music business who started his own label and was willing to form a girl group, with me as one of the members. I was thrilled about the concept of a Visual Rock/Pop Label and just the thought of working on my dream of becoming an artist in form of a member of a Visual Pop Group was more than I ever could have hoped for. Things started out on good terms, however, from the very beginning the members of lovelipop were given an image and vision for lovelipop that didn't turn out as we expected. This could all just have been a big misunderstanding, but even though most of us weren't happy with the concept and were put under unreasonable circumstances when it came to the release of our first single, we decided to keep going in hopes that things might change and that we would be able to improve lovelipop's situation in the future.

It's very hard to always have a definite plan for everything and it's impossible to predict the future, especially for a new group under a new record label that's still in development like KEIOS. However, we felt like we were being completely left out of the plans concerning lovelipop and that the plans and schedules for lovelipop in general were too unstable. We were constantly in-between uncertainty or under the sudden pressure of the release of a single or performance without any or very little previous knowledge about this. Between those two things, all we could do was wait and practice and do whatever we could by ourselves. None of us members had ever worked in the music business as artists before and we were completely inexperienced. Even though we were under a company, we didn't receive any sort of preparatory training even though it was what we needed the most, and despite this we suddenly had a lot of pressure and expectations on us when something actually happened. We felt as if we were not part of the so called KEIOS family at all which made us all feel left out and frustrated.

The reason I personally wanted to become an artist to begin with was because I wanted to make music and create concepts that I could stand for and share with the world. I wanted to grow as an artist and to express myself and the things I, and my members, wanted to share with everyone. Even though I'm only a rookie, I thought that especially KEIOS out of all the record labels out there would give me this opportunity. At this point I realized how incredibly limited our potential to develop as artists was and I realized that it would be nearly impossible for us to actually grow and develop as individuals in the nearest future if we kept going like things did back then.

In all honesty, I admit that we, the members of lovelipop, made a lot of mistakes because of the difficult situation we were in. We defied KEIOS under many occasions, especially me, because in the back of my mind I just couldn't stand the thought of being a product of someone else's vision when I was expecting something completely different for this group. Even though we might have come off as disrespectful when expressing our opinions, all we ever wanted was to improve our situation and develop lovelipop as a group. But no matter how hard we tried to compromise or solve even a simple problem, it just wasn't possible because we simply couldn't understand each other since our visions and ways of thinking were way too different. Despite this, we (lovelipop) still wanted to keep going, and as for now we still don't know exactly why KEIOS made the decision to disband lovelipop, but I can more or less guess why considering the things I have mentioned in this post, and I think that we all would have agreed to come to this conclusion if we had been asked about it. We have all been at fault and have been stuck in difficult positions.

I truthfully think that we had all rights to be disappointed and doubtful. But now that I look back at everything in the end, I realized that KEIOS just did the best they could with what they had, the idea for lovelipop was great, but it just wasn't the right thing for (most) of us in lovelipop. Despite all of this and even though I might not have shown my gratitude enough, I was actually incredibly thankful for the work that was put into lovelipop, the opportunities that we were given, and the many things I've learned during this time. If none of this had happened, I would never have met my group members whom I care so much for and had such good times with. And I would never have realized how important music and my dream of becoming an artist is to me which is the most important point of them all. Because now that I am no longer under a record label, I can work freely without any restrictions at all which will result in more productivity and material since I can put my all into it. Even though I will have work a lot harder it's all worth it, because in the end, the only thing I want to do is to share my music and the concepts I want to create, together with other ambitious people who believe in me and my abilities.

And this is where the good news begin. Since the plan for lovelipop was already very uncertain even before we disbanded, me, Impa and Victoria actually decided to start working on another project which is now our main project. I'm happy to say that the three of us have created our own group and will now go under the name of LVLUP. We have already started working on our material together with a couple of other amazing people and hope to present it to you in the nearest future. Wait for us just a little longer.

At last but not least, I also wish KEIOS the best of luck in the future and I hope that you guys will support LVLUP. I can guarantee that we will work very hard and do our best to make our dreams come true and share them with you.
Thank you so much for reading and bye for now, lovelies.

[Review/Overview] Etude House Princess Makeup Table

Friday, March 20, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I finally got the Etude House Princess Makeup Table that I had been wanting to get for such a long time. This will be a brief Overview/Review where I will be talking about its functions, what I like and what I don't like about it.

The box this comes in is just too cute. The design is just so pretty, and you could even "pop out" the little ribbons on top of it, probably so you could use it as a handle if you buy it in a physical store. Recently I feel like the ETUDE HOUSE's packaging is prettier than the actual product inside of it, haha. All of the separate pieces of the Makeup Table were neatly wrapped in protective plastic.

I was also a bit surprised by the big size of the box, and I later noticed that the Makeup Itself also was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

Even the instructions have a very cute design, hah... The instructions were all in Korean but even though I don't understand what it says, the pictures made it very easy to follow and understand how to put the Makeup Table together.

A "Special Glue" and Tape Stickers are included. I actually tried to put it together without using the glue since I wanted to be able to take it apart easily if I wanted to, but it turned out to be very unstable so I had to use the glue after all. It also said that you can use the Tape Stickers for additional sturdiness too, but I didn't use it since I didn't think it was necessary. The glue did the job! Just pay some extra attention when you use the glue since it's very runny and dries very quickly (It's identical to nail glue). Anyhow, like I said it's really easy to follow the instructions so anyone will be able to put it together very quickly without any problems.

The overall design of this Makeup Table is so pretty and the shape of it looks very unique to me. The detailing at the very bottom and the rounded edges of the shelves are very nice touches. I especially like the part at the top of everything which is a good place to put "long" products like BB Creams or products that can't really stand by themselves.

A useful function I noticed when first putting it together was that there are several "holes" which are located at different heights. You can customize the shelves (almost) however you like which is actually very useful. This allows you to to actually fit the products you have more easily despite the size and you won't be as restricted as you would have been if there was only one position to put the shelves in, if that makes any sense. The shelves also have a slightly elevated edge which will keep the products you put there from falling off.

Another thing I noticed, which probably is my favorite feature, is that you can rotate it! It has a this circle thingy at the bottom which allows you to rotate the Makeup Table easily without the Makeup Table itself sliding all over the place. It's very neat! It doesn't sound that fancy but I actually really like this feature. It's something that I haven't seen in any other kind of storage objects before.

I really like this Makeup Table and I'm so happy to finally have it. However, there are just a couple of things which kinda bugged me that I want to mention. First of all, I just feel like the space inside of the shelves is a bit awkward. Some of the products I have fill up the spaces perfectly thanks to the adjustable shelves, but most of the time it just looks like there is way too much space and too little product. I will eventually make another post to show you what it looks like, but for now you can search for other bloggers' reviews and look at their pictures. You will probably understand what I mean.

Secondly, a very small but a little disappointing detail was the color. I really like pink with cool undertones, almost lavender. But as you can see, the color of the Makeup Table is more Salmon/Peach-colored (And the salmon tone is even more prominent in real life). It simply has a more warm pink tone to it than I thought it would have.

These things really aren't that big of a deal to me, but I still felt like it would be good to mention since there are probably other people who might be slightly bothered by details like these. However, In the end I really don't mind these things since this Makeup Table still is so damn pretty! So, what do you think? Would you get it? Or if you already have it, what do you think of it? Feel free to let me know in the comments!

New Display Shelf

Monday, March 16, 2015

Hello, lovelies! I was starting to run out of storage space for all of my things so I went ahead and got myself a new shelf. It actually took me quite a while to find one since I wanted a specific-looking shelf just like this one, and it was surprisingly a lot harder to find than I thought. I was even thinking about building one myself after getting so tired of looking for the one I wanted. Anyway, after looking in every possible furniture store I could think of I finally found this shelf online, however, it was only available in light brown and I really wanted it in black. But since this shelf was perfect and exactly what I was looking for I just went ahead and bought it anyway and decided to paint it black. It turned out quite nicely if I may say so myself!

SAM_5012
So, here it is! I really like to put my favorite things on display and I finally have enough room to do so. I don't know where I got the idea but I also bought a set of small mirrors to put behind each "cube". It's kind of hard to see from afar but it creates a really nice effect. You can see it a little better in the photos I took more up-close.

SAM_5009
As you can see there's a lot of makeup, perfumes, lotions, handheld game consoles, polaroid camera, and more! The area in the lower middle part of the shelf looks kind of empty, because that's where I usually keep my camera, which I was currently using to take these photos, obviously. Hehe.

SAM_5048
A little closer!

SAM_5066
Even closer! I just had to take another close-up shot of my perfumes. This is probably my favorite part of the shelf right now. I just love how shiny and brilliant the bottles look especially with the mirror behind it which, like I said, gives it a really nice touch. It looks even more pretty at night when it's darks and I turn on my desk-lamp to shine down on them.

Anyway, even though I prefer to keep my things on display, all of this stuff is only about 20% of all of my makeup & beauty products. The remaining 80% is still stashed in my makeup drawers and bathroom. Where/how do you like to store your things?

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint PP501 Cherry Lavender

Thursday, March 12, 2015

Hello, lovelies! This review has been in my drafts forever and I realized that it might be time to actually post it. Etude House celebrated their 5th Anniversary about 2 years ago and they released two new colors of their Fresh Cherry Tints during that time. One of them is the PP501 Cherry Lavender Tint which I will be reviewing for you in this post.

Packaging & Design
The packaging box is really cute. I'm not sure whether it looks the same or not since I got mine during their 5th Anniversary. It's already been a long time since then and the packaging might have changed, but I'm sure it still looks cute. The lip tint itself has a really simple and clean look to it.

One of the things I really like about this lip tint is that the bristles of the brush applicator are so soft and feel very gentle on the lips.

Color
The color of this tint is called Lavender, but I would say that it's more like a grape-color; a deep pink with a cool tone in it. It didn't really give me the color I was hoping for when applying it on my bare lips. It's very similar to my natural lip color which is great if I want a more natural look, but when I applied it after applying concealer on my lips first the color turned out really pretty and vibrant. It also leaves my lips looking shiny and healthy which is really nice.

Scent
Out of all the lip products I have tried so far, this one definitely has the nicest scent. Like the name suggests, it smells like cherries. It's a very sweet and fresh scent and I absolutely love it.

bare lps        bare lips appl

ombre        concealerd

Formula
The formula feels quite thick and creamy at first but it's very light on the lips once it has settled. Etude House's lip tints are really great since they make my lips feel very moisturized, especially compared to some other lip tints I've tried from other brands which left my lips feeling really dry.

Lastability
I don't know if it's because the color isn't very opaque to begin with or not, but I think the color doesn't last very long and fades quite fast. However, I actually prefer using a gentle lip tint like this that I have to reapply a few times rather than using a lip tint that has a opaque color and lasts a long time but makes my lips feel dry instead.

Overall
Even though it was a long time since Etude's 5th anniversary these lip tints are still for sale and you can easily get them online for a good price. I don't use lip tints that much but this is definitely my favorite lip tint and actually the only one I really like out of all the lip tints I've tried. When it comes to lip tints, lipsticks, etc. I always prefer the purple/lavender or pink ones with cool/blueish tones. It comes in a few other popular colors and it's definitely worth trying out if you're looking for a good lip tint that is gentle on your lips. Which is your favorite lip tint and why?
Thank you for reading and bye for now, lovelies!

New Photo Equipment Coming in!

Wednesday, March 4, 2015

Hello, lovelies! I want to take my photography to the next level and I've also wanted to make Youtube videos for a really long time, but I never really got into it because I didn't have the right equipment. If I can't do something in the best way possible I won't to do it all. However, I recently decided to order some proper equipment and since I finally will have a decent setup in a few days I really hope that I will be able to learn fast and produce some nice quality content for my blog and my currently dead Youtube Channel.

I will upgrade my equipment as my experience grows, but the basic things I ordered are enough for now in my opinion. The things that I got in the picture above are, from left to right, a Ring Light (65W 5400K), x2 Tripods with Studio Flash Lights including x2 Silver Umbrellas & x2 White Umbrellas, and at last but not least a White Screen Background (300cm x 300m).

The only experiences I have with photography so far are the things I've learned by myself, when I observed photoshoots while I've been working as a Makeup Artist, and the few times I've been in front of a camera myself. I will pretty much only focus on product and portrait photography for my blog for now, and as for my Youtube Channel I will start off with Makeup Tutorials. I'm confident that I will be able to learn, but feel free to let me know if you have any tips or tricks you think will be useful for a beginner like me.
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies.

MA*RS Accessory Set [For Sale]

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I previously mentioned this MA*RS Accessory set when I made a post about the Black & Pink Nails I did to match the set. I bought these for myself quite a while ago but never ended up using any of them at all. All of these matching accessories are incredibly gorgeous but It would be a shame to just have them without actually using them, so I decided to put them up for sale in my store

The set includes 1 big bow, 2 wrist cuffs and 1 garter. I was thinking about selling them separately first but I realized that they are better off if they're sold together as a set.

Feel free to check out this set which is only one of the many other items (both pre-loved and brand new) that I have for sale in my online store.
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies!

My DIY Makeup Holder

Monday, March 2, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I tend to keep the packaging of the things I buy, especially the cute ones you get from Makeup/Beauty products; I just can't throw them away! I was cleaning my room and I had a lot of these just laying around so I thought that I might as well put them to use, so I decided to use some of them to make a Makeup holder.

SAM_4995   SAM_4994
For the base part I took a pink box which already had these little dividers in it (I have no idea what kind of product the packaging is from tho) and I then attached some Lipstick boxes at the side of it using my trustworthy glue gun. It's not the most gracefully crafted and the fact that one of the outer lipstick boxes is completely out of place annoys the heck out of me, haha. However, it's still very useful since I was running out of storage space for all of my makeup. I hope that this little project will inspire some of you to craft your own things because it's really a lot of fun and super easy to give old or re-usable things a new purpose.
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies!
